Neon ravens take flight in temple

Ravens in Temple Take Flight and Circle as One in neon light sculpture

Twelve full-size Ravens in flight whirl above liquid handwriting transformed into brittle glass with an invisible glowing heart. The birds in flight – representing hopes and dreams – are carried up into the night-time heavens in a display of neon animation by Andy Doig of Fishtail Neon working closely with Julian Vilarrubia.

A light sculpture strung between the classical columns of the Registry of Births and Marriages, at Brighton Town Hall. Unusually for neon, the elements were freely suspended, undulating slightly in the breeze.
